Work Weekend

We’re still looking for about 10 people to come out and help on May 25th and 26th. If you are interested, please register on the volunteer database, here. Project details are listed there also.

For liability reasons, we need to be able to account for everyone present to work. Please do not plan to just show up. It will be hot, so the earlier we can get started, the better. The goal would be to arrive between 8-8:30am, have a quick touch-base meeting 8:30-9:00am, start work at 9:00am, and work until 6:00pm (or sooner).

It is crucial that anyone who comes to a work weekend is prepared to, well, work. The site is in no way conducive to open-toed shoes, so please plan accordingly; boots or steel-toes are preferable over sneakers. Gloves, safety goggles, and sunscreen will be essential; hard hats will be helpful if you have one. Tools and equipment will be provided, but if you have any you’re willing to bring, please do! There will be shade but you’ll need to bring your own water, hat, whatever you need to work outside in the sun, along with whatever you need for an overnight camp-out if you’re planning on staying both days.
